DTW Evans Terminal (North Terminal)
Detroit Airport Evans Terminal (North Terminal) houses all non-SkyTeam airlines that operate in DTW Airport.
North Terminal building was designed by Gensler and built by Walbridge and Barton Malow Joint Venture and it began service in 2008.
In April 2022, the terminal was renamed to Warren Cleage Evans Terminal, in honor of the county executive.
Levels
DTW North Terminal consists of the following levels:
Level 1
Arrivals and Baggage Claim area.
Find U.S. Customs & Border Protection inspection facilities for arriving international flights.
Level 2
Check-in and Departures.
Find the security check to access to Concourse D.
There is a Skybridge that connects to the Ground Transportation Center and parking lots.
Gates D1 to D30 ara located along Concourse D.
Passengers will find all kind of services and amenities in North Terminal.
Concourses
DTW North Terminal hosts Concourse D, which is home of boarding gates D16-D1 (west) and gates D17-D32.
There is a pedestrian bridge that connects with the Ground Transportation Center (at level 4 there are courtesy shuttles) and the Parking Garage.
International flights operate from gate D1 to gate D14-D15.

Walking times from security check to gates:
Time to D gate: 3 to 6 minutes.
Transfer between terminals
There a free shuttles available to connect passengers between McNamara and North Terminals, also stopping at Westin Hotel.
Shuttles depart every 10 minutes from the Ground Transportation center.
